HWHobby Watch Coming soon

Privacy notice

Your information, handled plainly.

This notice covers the Hobby Watch coming-soon site, member beta and public forms. Last updated 26 August 2026.

Who handles the data

Hobby Watch is an independent project operated by The Orc’s Head — Art & Adventure Supplies. Questions about this notice can be sent through the contact form.

What we collect

The early-access form may collect your name, email, audience type, interests, preferred regions, update frequency and consent choice. When you sign in to the member beta, the authentication service supplies your verified email address and display name. Hobby Watch stores your account preferences, cloud watchlist, in-app notifications and alert-delivery status. Source tips, correction reports and contact messages collect the fields shown in those forms, including any links and context you choose to provide. Basic security and delivery logs may also be processed by the hosting platform.

Why we use it

We use account and waitlist information to provide the beta, save requested preferences, operate alerts and send requested launch or product updates. We use tips and correction reports to assess evidence and maintain the editorial record. We use contact details to respond, prevent abuse and operate the service. We do not sell these details.

Storage, processors and retention

Account and form data is stored in the site’s managed database and is available only for operating Hobby Watch. Authentication is handled through ChatGPT sign-in. If outbound email is enabled, an email-delivery provider receives the minimum address and message details needed to send each alert. Information is reviewed periodically and deleted when it is no longer needed for its stated purpose, legal obligations, security or the editorial audit trail.

Cookies and local preferences

The site uses essential functions required for sign-in and service delivery. The public product preview also uses local browser storage for the cookie-notice choice and its clearly labelled demonstration watchlist. Signed-in member watchlists are stored in the managed database so they can follow the account across devices. Advertising cookies are not currently used.

Your choices

You can disable member alert emails in account preferences and unsubscribe from launch emails at any time. You may also ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information through the contact form. Some records may need to be retained where law, security or the integrity of an editorial correction requires it.
